This facility is used to evaluate the conduct radiowave performance of spacecraft, properties tests of antennas and radiowave sensors, and measure their radiowave characteristics.
This facility consists of two chambers. One is an anechoic chamber comprising an RF-shielded class 100,000 clean room capable of measuring the interference and the overall performance. Two measuring systems are available in this chamber : a far-field measurement system with distance between transmitting and receiving equipment of 24.6m and a compact range system (simulates far-field measurement within a limited space by using a reflector).  The second anechoic chamber is open on one side for radiowave tests of large antennas. It works with an outdoor mobile collimation tower, and thus field tests are possible up to a distance of 450m.
